2010 Winter Newsletter
(Jan 27, 2010)
Since the Wulinaxin Chapter
was “Chapter of the Year”,
we got to sit up front. We
had the largest number in
attendance, 47 to be exact.
The food was delicious, and
plenty of it, four Wulinaxin
Arrowmen became Vigil
candidates, and the
highlight of the evening,
was that, we are for the 1st
time ever “CHAPTER OF THE
YEAR” two times in a row!
We are Chapter of the Year
because our Arrowmen stepped
up to the plate to give of
their time, talent and
support. It seems that
those who have the busiest
schedule in their school
life, band life, sports
life, family life and Troop
life give the most to the
Order of the Arrow life. As
your past Chapter Chief, I
just want to say THANK YOU!

2009 Fall Newsletter
CATAPULT CRAZE!
(Oct 9, 2009)
Vice Chief Michael
Palmisciano gave them a nice
surprise by bring a four
foot catapult that, he
hoped, would amaze everyone.
It did just that, but not
quite as he predicted. His
water balloons only traveled
two feet and then plunged to
the ground without blasting
everyone with water! It was
a dud twice! BUT, on his
last try he succeeded and
everyone gave a cheered!
After which, the contestants
took to the starting line
grouped into two categories,
small and large.

Chapter Arrowmen’s Kite
Flying Adventure at the YAC
(Aug 20, 2009)
For many, it was their first
day of school, so they
wanted to get out before
their super busy schedule
set in. Just for the
evening, they forgot their
new school year blues, and
had pure relaxation. Plus,
one couldn’t have asked for
a nicer day or evening. The
weather was absolutely
perfect with just the right
amount of wind for kite
flying and warmth for a
beach bonfire. Arrowmen
began to arrive about 5
o’clock on the 20th of
August down at the Youth
Aquatic Center’s parking
lot. |

2009 NOAC
(Aug 16, 2009)
“I’M THERE!” and had such a
marvelous experience. Read
on to acquaint yourself with
the many events that took
place by your fellow
Arrowmen at the National
Order of the Arrow
Conference held in
Bloomington, Indiana, August
1st through the 6th,
2009.
‘The Power of One’
was shown when one adult Arrowman offered to trade
patches with me. He helped
me to understand patch
trading and gave me great
confidence for the rest of
the week. At NOAC patch
trading was a very big
event, as well as, a great
thrill! You would walk out
of your dorm building and
would see several blankets
covered in patches! It was
amazing to see patches from
around the country,
representing every State and
even from out of the
country, namely, Japan. It
was a super way to meet and
talk to other Arrowmen. You
found a common interest. We
were given 5 pocket flaps
patches each from Mr.
Malaney to begin our
adventure of trading. And,
by the way, you will be able
to see our efforts at Fall
Fellowship at the Tiwahe
Patch Auction, so, plan to
attend!

Wulinaxin Picnic
(June 25, 2009)
The
evening was perfect, not too
cold and not too hot, and
most importantly, not
raining! Mr. Flores ADC-SM
and Mrs. Flores arrived on
scene, their Explorer
stuffed with picnic gear and
food. Mr. Faraci T-479
pulled up only minutes later
with tables and his
barbeque. They staked their
claim in the park and began
unloading, transforming
empty spaces to the world of
feast and laughter.

Chapter 2009 Spring
Newsletter
(June 10, 2009)
With
the help of many Wulinaxin
Arrowmen, the Wulinaxin
Chapter once again pulled
off an outstanding Ordeal on
May 8-9, 2009. Inducted into
the brotherhood of cheerful
service were Seventy-Four
Candidates!
Mataguay had a bright,
colorful wave of Red, Gray,
Purple, Royal Blue, Kelly
Green, Orange, Yellow, and
Navy Flags blowing in the
wind. Under the watchful
eyes of Sixteen Elangomats,
and following behind the
Flags, were the eight Clans
of Candidates, wearing their
various colors of
neckerchiefs. What a sight
to behold! The Full Moon
brightened the path to the
exquisite Pre-Ordeal
Ceremony site.
