bullet Council Tour Permit Policy - Tour permits are required when you take your unit on an outing, and you have youth riding with adults other than their parents. When you are traveling with parent/child in separate vehicles with everyone meeting at a destination, there is no need for a tour permit, but if any child is traveling with an adult other then their parent, a tour permit should encompass everyone on the trip. All overnights, events that include water or high adventure activities require tour permits.  Events over 500 miles in distance requires a National Tour Permit. Read the entire council policy here.
